Smithsonian 3-D imaging specialist Adam Metallo scans the Apollo 11 Command Module “Columbia” with a laser scanner. The Smithsonian released a high resolution interactive 3-D model of the historic space craft on July 20, the 47th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing mission. The public can see  the model, interact with it and download it for 3-D printing at 3d.si.edu.
