The South Pole Rescue Team of Kenn Borek Air made a daring rescue in June 2016 during the Antarctic winter, rescuing two ill researchers from the National Science Foundation’s Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in Antarctica. The team won the 2017 National Air and Space Museum Trophy for Current Achievement.
