Eduardo Díaz is the director of the Smithsonian Latino Center. Before joining the Smithsonian, Díaz was the executive director of the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, N.M., a position he held since August 2005. It is the largest Latino cultural center in the United States, and as director, Díaz oversaw the programming and operations at this facility, which is a division of New Mexico’s Department of Cultural Affairs.
