The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian, George Gustav Heye Center in New York City recently opened an expanded Museum Store that triples the size of the previous space and offers more apparel, art, literature, jewelry and food than ever before. This includes new art from First Nations Canada, such as Inuit works purchased in conjunction with art cooperatives. Works by Native artists of Northwest and Southwest North America will also be more prominent, as well as jewelry by artists across the Western Hemisphere.
