At a workshop in Dublin, Ohio, a child tries out a prototype an activity which demonstrates how sunglasses have been used by Arctic people for thousands of years to protect against snow blindness. The final version of the activity will be installed in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian in New York in its upcoming imagiNATIONS Activity Center, which kicks-off construction Nov. 17, 2016, and opens in spring 2018.
