Three-toed sloth

Animals like this three-toed sloth, Bradypus variegatus, may be extremely difficult to spot in the dense tropical forest canopy. A group of researchers working at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute on Barro Colorado Island in Panama could detect this an many other, even more elusive animals using carrion flies.
