Nancy Pelosi Ensemble

Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) (b. 1940) is currently the Minority Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives. She previously served as the 52nd Speaker of the House, from 2007 to 2011, the first woman to do so. As Speaker she attained the highest rank of any female politician in American history.

Pelosi wore this burgundy suit, comprising skirt, shell and single-breasted jacket, when she was sworn in as Speaker of the House Jan. 3, 2007.
